SOUTHWESTERN ALGARVE
Praia da Luz
The southwestern Algarve is a part of the natural park of Costa Vicentina.
Starting at your hotel or other designated pickup Point, we will proceed to our first stop, Praia da Luz, a beautiful village near Lagos. Traditionally a fishing village in the last is also known ed by the several holiday-villa complexes.
Burgau and Salema
Our next stop will be Burgau a village between Lagos and Vila do Bispo where we will visit the small beach protected by the cliffs and was considered the “quaintest beachside village” in Europe, afterwords we will visit Praia da Salema, also a small village where the tourism is the principal activity.
Raposeira
We will leave behind the most touristic zone and proceed to a more nature and natural of Algarve and visit two beaches near Raposeira, Praia do Zavial and Ingrina, were you can see the beauty of the landscapes.
If you like religious monuments you can contemplate the simplicity of the Hermitage of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Cape São Vicente
The visit proceeds to Vila do Bispo and then to Sagres,
Traditionally a fishing village that was spared to the Algarve development due to be a part o the natural park of Costa Vicetina, and in the 15th century was very important for the Portuguese in the exploration of the new worlds, and is highly associated to Henry the Navigator.
The tour ends at Cape São Vicente located around sixteen kilometers from the village of Vila do Bispo and six kilometers from Sagres, witch is the southwestern point in Portugal. The landscape is impressive with their cliffs rising nearly vertically from the Atlantic to a height of 60 meters. In the cape you can also watch the exuberant marine life and a high concentration of birds nesting on the cliffs, furthermore you can enjoy the beautiful sunset will be an experience to remember. Also a must to see is the lighthouse and the fortress of Sagres.
