CAPE SÃO VICENTE
Cape São Vicente is located around sixteen kilometers from the village of Vila do Bispo and six kilometers from Sagres, is the southwestern point in Portugal. The landscape is impressive with their cliffs rising nearly vertically from the Atlantic to a height of 60 meters. In the cape you can also watch the exuberant marine life and a high concentration of birds nesting on the cliffs, furthermore you can enjoy the beautiful sunset will be an experience to remember. Also a must to see is the lighthouse and the fortress of Sagres.
Sagres is traditionally a fishing village that was spared to the Algarve development due to be a part o the natural park of Costa Vicetina, and in the 15th century was very important for the Portuguese in the exploration of the new worlds, and is highly associated to Henry the Navigator.
